Engineering is a continuously evolving discipline. Improvements in material technology, machining tolerances, surface finishes, heat treating techniques, casting methods, surface coatings, forging technology, welding practices and assembly techniques are constantly pursued by our engineering staff for integration into our products. This constant pursuit, combined with Hunt’s 90 years of accumulated valve manufacturing expertise, places us at the leading edge of the evolutionary curve in valve design.

Hunt utilizes the latest design engineering tools available to employ the most modern technological advances into our time-proven product designs. Our Engineering Staff utilizes AutoCAD for drafting, Solid Works for solid modeling and COSMOS for finite element analysis.

Hunt emphasizes a seamless interface between our Design Engineering Department and our Manufacturing Engineering Department. Our design engineers are frequently involved in the shop floor activity. Similarly, our manufacturing methods and machine programmers play a prominent role in product improvements and the development of new products.

We have strengthened our Non Destructive Testing through involving our engineers in the hands-on inspection and evaluation of our products. We invested significant resources to educate and train our personnel in these critical processes. Presently one of our senior design engineers and additionally our lead NDT inspector are both ASNT certified Level III examiners.
