With an eye for detail, Hunt’s engineering experts carefully inspect every element of the manufacturing process—from the receiving inspection of the raw material to the final inspection of all components and assemblies. Our inspection equipment is routinely calibrated to ensure exceptional accuracy.
Calibration laboratory: Our state-of-the-art calibration laboratory maintains control and calibration of all inspection equipment utilized at Hunt Valve. Temperature and humidity are monitored and documented electronically. The lab meets the requirements of Mil-STD-45662, Mil-STD-105 and ANSI Z540.1.
Coordinate measuring machine (CMM): Our team uses this machine to perform dimensional and geometric inspections. The CMM unit is integrated with Solidworks® cad models to serve as an inspection template. It’s also equipped with a laser scanner to provide reverse engineering capabilities.
Optical comparator: We use an optical comparator equipped with a computerized dimensional readout for enhanced inspection precision.
Hardness testing: We utilize a state-of-the-art hardness tester to verify heat treat certifications.
